In creativity of any kind, one of the fundamentals is the skill of noticing.
If you have been here for a while, you may have participated in one of my Noticing Challenges. They have been crazy popular over the years! People have participated from all over the world-

There are so few happy surprises in life—-but women have told me that when they do the challenge– they love the surprise of going to open their email and finding the prompt for the day. They love the surprise of it!
They love other things too….
- Two friends who live in different parts of Germany would send each other a picture of the thing that the prompt inspired each day.
- Someone wrote that she had gone through a terrible depression following an illness and she came across my challenge and it brought her back to her writing and importantly back to herself.
- Someone else wrote to me from the Netherlands saying that the challenge brought her back to her creativity and it was life changing for her
- Someone told me that while she already works as a creative- having new ways of seeing things helps her immensely and she always searches out those opportunities because she knows how it enhances her work
- these are just a very few examples— there are so many notes from women for whom these simple daily prompts have been life changing, joy-filled and meaningful.

What we focus on is what we see
It’s easy to go through your day doing the same things, and seeing the same things.
But to live a creative, interesting and meaningful life means that you can go through those same tasks, routes, paths in your day and see things completely differently.
This is where my Summer Creativity Challenge comes in….
You don’t need more time. You could trade a little time scrolling for a few minutes of noticing as you already go about your day.
To say that this is a GAME CHANGER in your life is an understatement.

Noticing is everything
Just like everything else in a creative life—
one can learn how only by doing.
Good thing it’s so much fun!
Good thing it’s easy!
Good thing it’s not time consuming.
You don’t need more time, you just need a little…and depending on your daily routine you could notice things from your seat on the train into work, the ferry to see the in-laws, the line up at the grocery store.
Interested?
You can sign up here and I will send you a prompt to your email inbox each day, and the 59 days after that too…
Some people choose to share a picture on instagram, while others get themselves a blank book and use these prompts to inspire their creativity in a myriad of ways.
Some people write poetry, haikus, journal, collage, draw, paint or print off pictures that they have taken and glue them in… or combinations of all these things.
(AND they give themselves grace in not burdening themselves if they miss a day- write down the prompt and come back to it while you are waiting for your children’s practice to be over– or save them up until you have a beautiful morning on your holiday before the others wake up or skip it altogether and pick it up a few days later).
What a wonderful summer memory to make yourself a book of your summer of noticing…. for this summer challenge- that is what my strong suggestion is— get yourself a blank book- it doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive – it has to feel like something you will use-

I hope you have as much fun as I plan to when I open my in-box and follow my creativity this summer…
I wish you peace on your path,
