Permission to Play – 5 Minutes to Prove to Yourself that You’re Creative

Do you have this too?

You make something for someone and then you can’t wait until it’s their birthday, or Christmas or “Just because” to give it to them.

That’s how I feel about this thing that I have made for you.

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a Just Because kind of person.

I love to leave something at a friend’s door– just because.

I am very fortunate to have been on the receiving end of opening my door to find something on my doormat all wrapped up or in my mailbox. No occasion, no expectation of anything in return— Just Because.

I can’t tell you how blown away I have been to be the recipient of so many lovely notes from women all around the world who have been participating in my Creativity Challenge.

It’s amazing that in only a few words, one can feel like penpals and it feels as though we share something of importance to us in only this short glimpse into each other’s life.

The connection that comes from a shared love of knitting, girl guides, stories of friendship and loss, life transitions, moving to a new city and starting again, the coming back to the writing….. All.The.Things.

That’s what living a creative life can give us– connections and feeling seen and sharing beauty in the world by the pictures we take of the view out the apartment window at first light, the glistening snow, our best friend (our dog) on our lap on a comfy chair, the fanciness that only a young girl wearing all the shiny pretty grown up things can evoke, the swans seen before a Sunday roast at the local inn….the ducks in the local pond, the chocolate yumminess seen before it’s devoured by The Appreciative.

I know that everyone is busy and so I have made something that could be helpful if you are blocked or just getting back into making creativity part of your life.

It’s a simple FREE guide called Permission to Play – 5 Minutes to Prove to Yourself that You’re Creative
