Creativity Day coming up August 18th

Recently there was something that I had thought about attending and almost missed…..my favourite candle shop was closing because the long time owner is retiring.

Last weekend he was having a garage sale with more than the candles— holders for my cards when I go to the market, shelving and baskets…

I had it in my mind that I wanted to go— but when Saturdays roll around I am thinking of other things and forget about ideas that I really wanted to do or places I wanted to go….and then when I remember it is too late and I regret not going.

Luckily for me he posted on Instagram and I saw it and it reminded me.

I am so happy that I went – I got lots of Danish candles that no one else carries here because of the size, some very cool shelving that is going to be a game changer AND a surprise – a vintage flower frog that I have never seen anywhere but Erin Benzakein is using in the Floret Flower Arranging course that I am taking…

I was thrilled that I hadn’t missed what I anticipated and the surprise perfect thing!

This got me thinking about my Creativity Day on August 18th- a one day workshop that I host in my garden where we make cool stuff that you don’t need any experience for…

From last year’s participants I know what a delightful, inspiring and fun day that we had making things like cyanotype.

We had the kinds of discussions about creativity that are rare and meaningful.

You know- the kind of conversations where, when you leave you continue thinking about them ages afterwards…like creative nourishment…

I’m excited about the women who are coming from far away to attend and those who are in Victoria already.

We are outside all day so dress in your play clothes for the weather.

We have an exchange at the beginning so besides the fee, you will bring an item or items that you find super helpful in your creativity and it will be exchanged with another participant so you will go home with a new tool/s to help you with your creativity.

I keep the group small so that it feels very relaxed and not rushed.

Creativity Day is August 18th from 10 – 4 pm in my garden in Victoria BC. It comes with a lovely lunch and both tea breaks and all the materials are included.

You will leave with your creations, a frame for your cyanotype, a bouquet of flowers in a vase, the thing you exchanged with, and a swag bag that I am keeping as a surprise (because I LOVE happy surprises).

All you need is to come with openness and kindness and you’ll have a lot of fun!

This day is for trying new creative things so you don’t need to be an artist or a creative-no experience is necessary.

If you would like to come with your friends or come on your own and meet friends… I have a few spots available!

If you sign up before August 5th, I would like to give you a coupon for $25 off . Here is the code to use at check out: DAY25
