If you are lucky to live in a place where you have access to local strawberries (or other wonderful berries) this makes a divine birthday cake. It feels special, looks festive, is easy to make and very light after your meal.

The recipe calls for 300 grams of berries. It’s baked for 45 minutes..I find it’s best eaten the same day you bake it, although we ate it for three days straight once- when it was just shared with fewer family members and it was still good.
