With the help of two very helpful friends who are both passionate new weavers, I started a project that I wasn’t sure I could actually do. It takes a long time to “thread” the loom (to put each thread through a small wire with a hole in a particular order – at one point when I was feeling like this was all a little too much- I walked outside for a little break and that’s when I was inspired by a particular spider–all that beautiful work- the pattern..I came back later to see how much the spider had done—Luckily I don’t have to rely on my weaving for food…
This is from a pattern based on a Scandinavian pattern. I love the white and red, but I also really love the “linen” colour with red..
In looking for a ribbon to attach I found the little tags my Mom had given me years ago.

Because it gets wound onto the loom as you weave, it’s like a little (well big, for me) surprise when one sees one’s work in its entirety!
